Our first step in revising our film was to get another actor to play the role of Sheaves. William Blagden filled in this role. This gave the director, me, who previously played Sheaves to get behind the camera to shoot the clips myself, allowing me to capture exactly what I wanted to. William was experienced for this job since he was on set for the previous movie and got the chance to observe everything the character Sheaves had to do. We kept pretty much all of the scenes very similar to the previous version of the film and made some minor changes to the script.

Art of the Title Class Activity

I chose the opening sequence to Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery because it does a good job for setting up the movie. The comments describe the background showed that the location was in London. Some indicators were the marching bands, British flags and telephone booths. It also discusses the crowd of fans that are chasing him and gives credit to the costume designer for the vibrant colors to match their enthusiasm. Some aspects of the film that I would like to use would be keep music running thoughout most of the openeing instead of cutting it off too short. Another one would be to have more wide or longshots to allow for more space on the screen for titles.

Audience Engagment Research- Knives Out

"Knives Out" is a movie centered around a mystery and has many instances of suspense. This is similar to our movie, where there are many tense moments and has a big mystery component as well. "Knives Out" is a PG-13 film, so the ages of our audience will likely be the same. The income level for this target audience is the middle class, high and low, because it shows the perspective of a nurse working for a wealthy family. Our movie would be the same because it takes place in a normal neighborhood. The marketers for this movie aired its trailers on the YouTube platform and on previews at the theater. These trailers did a good job of luring the viewer's curiosity into the murder mystery. This movie featured several famous actors and used their names as a method of advertising.
