The Drama/Thriller film "A Quiet Place" was first released into theaters on April 6, 2018. It has a PG-13 rating, making it fall into the same target audience as our movie. It became available on digital HD on June 26, 2018 and was available on DVD and Blu-ray on July 10. It was distributed by Paramount Pictures. At the time when it was released into theaters, there were other movies in the same horror/thriller genre being released around the same time such as "Truth or Dare". The distributors for "A Quiet Place" had received positive feedback from the trailers online and appeared frequently in previews for other movies. They were confident enough to have the movie released around the same time as other scary movies , because they predicted that the other horror movies would not draw away from their ticket sales. "A Quiet Place" ended up exceeding its expectations at the box office and had the second-best second weekend release for a horror film. For our film, we would first look at other films in our genre to see when they are coming out. Then, based off of the feedback from online trailers, we would decide what day to release the film. If there is a normal amount of views and feedback then it will be released either a few weeks before or after another big horror film. If we get more views and lots of positive feedback from the trailers, then we can release it within a week of another scary movie in the theaters.
