It will begin with shots of the two friends, Sheaves (played by Henry) and Vance (played by Logan walking to the park along the side walk. Then the two will arrive at the basketball court and start stretching to get ready to play. The goal will be to inform the actors of their specific parts to perform and get familiar with the location, such as playing on the court for practice. The director will go over with Forrest (Harrison) on where to come out of the woods and also what facial expressions to make to seem disturbing and unnatural. The goal is for Forrest to understand his role and we will film some shots of him coming out of the woods and walking over to the court.
This day we were able to get the actors to understand their roles and figured out what the very first clips were going to be. We decided to cut out the part where Forrest comes out of the woods because it seemed unnecessary and would likely make his character too confusing. We went over what was going to happen while all three actors were playing basketball and we had them practice their actions exactly how it would be when recorded. We were able to film the two actors walking towards the park and to the basketball court. We then took shots of the two warming up and Sheaves placing down a speaker to indicate where the source music is coming from. The last shot we filmed was Forrest on the court guarding Sheaves in a game.
